Last Sunday, Carolina Coops delivered our coop. It’s custom-built, has a 4-foot by 8-foot run and a nice size henhouse. It has a nice size door on one side to be able to get into the run, and then the back of the henhouse has a door that swings open, as well as easy access to the nest boxes.
It was great to finally get the chickens out of the house full time, they were starting to get a bit stinky. So far, they seem to enjoy the extra space, and have been going up into the henhouse at night. It appears that they don’t use the roost at night yet, though they did jump up there the other day when exploring in the daytime.
